What’s new and product improvements for Pro, Premium, & Quantum

Government compliance

Changes to the Manitoba sales tax

Effective July 1, 2019, the Manitoba Retail Sales Tax (RST) rate will decrease from 8% to 7%. This tax is applied on the retail sale of most goods and some services, and is calculated

on the selling price before the GST is applied.

The Manitoba Retails Sales Tax Update wizard helps Manitoba clients convert easily by updating the RST and tax codes to the new rate. Manitoba clients should finish recording

transactions dated previous to July 1, 2019 before running the Manitoba Retails Sales Tax Update wizard. The wizard will pop up after you change the session date to a date after

June 30, 2019. You can also access the wizard at any time from the Setup menu. New companies created in this release use the new rate of 7%.

AutoEntry

New partnership with AutoEntry

Sage is thrilled to introduce a new partnership with AutoEntry. Autoentry is a third party cloud-based solution which eliminates data entry, so you never

again have to type up invoices or receipts. AutoEntry captures and analyzes scanned and photographed paper documents, automating data entry into your Sage 50 program.

If you are interested in automating your workflow with AutoEntry, please call 1-866-467-2883 for more information.

Resolved Issues

The following issues have been resolved:

When searching for a transaction, the Select Order or Quote would open slowly if a company had thousands of orders.

The Inventory Summary report would stop responding and Sage 50 would stop working if the company had both a lot of inventory

items and sales and purchase transactions.
